The Palm Cascade is a multi purpose drysuit suitable for various water sports. The suit is constructed from waterproof and breathable XP 4-layer fabric with reinforcement at high wearing areas (elbows, knees and seat). A latex neck seal and latex wrist seals ensures the water stays out, and the built-in fabric socks ensure you will be staying dry whether you're on or in the water!

To allow access to the suit a huge zip runs from the waist diagonally across the torso to the right shoulder. This essentially divides the suit into two halves, getting the bottom half on is like pulling on any pair of trousers, the top half then pulls over your head, push the arms through and it's on. In addition to the pull cord adjustment for the trouser part there is Velcro adjustment for the overlapping part of the top of the suit. A relief zipper is also fitted for when nature calls. A velcro adjustable neoprene waistband provides a comfortable fit during use, and features a twin waist system allowing a spray deck to be worn underneath. The ankles have Velcro adjustment so any excess material there can be tucked away. Moving up, the knees are reinforced, a good thing for an area where wear could be an issue, the same reinforcement can be found at the seat and other high wear areas.

No matter what your discipline, you should always dress for the conditions you will be paddling in and are likely to encounter. Let's face it, if you want to enjoy the sport anywhere in the UK between October and April, you are going to be faced with cold, windy and rainy conditions, often all together! This does not mean you should pack your boat away when the nights start to draw in, it just means you need to reconsider what you are wearing, and top up your thermals and technical outer wear.

A surface immersion suit will not only keep you dry but will also keep the wind off, the other main chill factor in the water sports environment. However, do not think that the suit in its own right will keep you warm, it is important that you team it with a good thermal layering system, not forgetting the socks!
