Enigma Journey 164
The Journey 164 from Enigma Canoes has one of the largest carrying capacities in the business. What this canoe excels at is taking several people (or larger paddlers) out onto the water at the same time, while still giving a dry ride and good stability. It is also perfect for load carrying having more than enough space to carry overnight camping kit and provisions for several people for multi-day trips. The V-shaped hull and deep draught allows for easier straight-line paddling, especially on open water but is still capable of running some of the easier multi-day rivers, including shooting some simple rapids.
The Journey 164 is available with either two seats for tandem paddling or can also be supplied with a 3rd extra wide seat fitted. This extra seat allows for a third paddler to come onboard or have two smaller children sat side-by-side. Dut to the size of the 164 we wouldn't recommend it as a solo canoe, as it would prove a real handful for one person to manage, both on and off the water. Please note that the amount of material used during the construction of these large canoe models, it does make them on the heavy side (compared to smaller/shorter) models, and this will need some consideration especially if intending to transport a Journey 164 on a car roofrack.
