Enigma Prospector Sport
Enigma Canoes have taken the iconic Prospector canoe model and given it a slight tweak to create the Prospector 'Sport'. This version is 16ft in length, making it the ideal size for tandem or solo use, and leaving enough capacity for overnight camping kit. What makes the Sport stand out from other generic plastic Prospectors is that the hull shape has been given slightly less rocker, and it is a bit sleeker between the central point and its ends. This results in the Prospector Sport having better straight-line tracking, a slightly longer waterline and less resistance/drag. This higher performing Prospector although faster and more efficient over distance, does offer less carrying capacity and primary stability than a standard Prospector 16.
As with all Prospector canoe models, this Sport version has been designed as a general-purpose canoe and is well suited (in the right hands) to tackle easy to moderate grade white water rivers alongside flat-water trips. The Enigma Prospector Sport is manufactured in Canada and constructed from an extremely robust, high density foam core laminated polyethylene. This triple layered construction gives an incredibly rigid boat that isn't prone to warping and is well suited for both private and commercial providers. The Prospector Sport comes fitted as standard with either 2 or 3 varnished wood-web seats and has heavy duty vinyl gunwales to provide even more strength and rigidity.
