The Heron 9 XT benefits from a tough polyethylene hull, designed to withstand the day-to-day abuse from family fun. Knocks and bumps from adventures at your local river, or at the beach, pose little threat to the sturdiness of this kayak.
Old Town have designed the Heron with a forgiving, user-friendly hull shape, offering paddlers with a high level of stability and tracking, for progressing skills and improving confidence on the water. Completely capable, the Heron 9XT also has you covered for sheltered coastal explorations, for any kayakers looking to get the best experience this kayak can provide.
The Comfort Flex seating offers excellent lumbar support and super comfy padding for those extended days on the water. The outfitting is fully adjustable, giving paddlers the ability to find the best fit and connection inside the Heron. This helps to improve control and achieve a better level of responsiveness in harsh weather conditions.
At the stern, the Old Town Heron 9 XT features a Quick Seal hatch for secure storage of extra equipment, such as a transport trolley, and is separated from the cockpit with a bulkhead. There are also a pair of flush mounted fishing rod holders fitted just behind the cockpit rim, giving paddlers the opportunity to grab a rod and try their luck at catching a fish!
